How Homeschooling During COVID-19 Has Me Bossing Up My Parenting Skills
I use these timers to measure so much with my children:
I measure time outs.
I measure breaks in-between lessons.
I measure how long it takes them to learn a new skill.
I measure how long it takes them to move from being reactive to being responsive (Important Skill).
I measure how long it takes them to be angry and then calm down. (Major Skill)…
I measure my anger process too…
I also use it to measure my disconnection time from my children. Yes, disconnection is a high-level skill to put in place when you are coupling homeschooling with being a #corporatemom or a #MomBoss from home.
I value being a Mom just as much as I do managing money.
So, to make sure that I am just as present for my children as I am for my clients, I have an on and off schedule … and, I measure disconnection. When I’m on, I’m on – and when I’m on a break, I’m on a break and you bet not break nothin’…
In between clients I might do a 20 min crossword puzzle or hide words all over the kitchen for them to find. We might play hopscotch or see who can load the dishwasher the fastest.
With children you have to $pend time and money… #PurseEmpowerment #MoneyTherapy
